There is something about southern farmhouses that we just can’t get enough of, whether it’s their historic charm, clean lines, or wide front porches. But, when a century-old farmhouse is brought back to life without losing an ounce of its original integrity- that’s when you really know it’s special.

Just a short drive down a few windy roads, you will find this picturesque family-owned farmhouse. The one-of-a-kind home has historic charm with modern upgrades, giving it a special rustic meets up-to-date elegance. Crisp white paint, a two-story brick chimney, and rocking chairs here and there, the wrap-around front porch is a blank canvas with beautiful views of the countryside.

Behind the antique front door, you will find the farmhouse of your dreams. With some love and a whole lot of work, the character of this home was brought back to life . The old oak boards from the hayloft inside the old barn were repurposed and one-a-kind hardwood floors were made. The classic white kitchen serves as the heart of the home. From accents like the large kitchen island, wood-burning fireplace, and massive farmhouse table, this home is what brings everyone together to create memories.

With its’ perfect balance of new and old, it is safe to say Chip and Joanna Gaines would approve.

Located along an old country road, an abandoned century-old cabin stood languished and dilapidated until Mark Rademaker came along. After learning of another century-old cabin in Burfordville, Missouri that was threatened with demolition, a plan was hatched. Mark would save both cabins, have them dismantled, brought to Rusted Route Farms, and attached to his discovered treasure.

The result is a 2,000-square-foot retreat that preserves the historic, handmade log construction, but offers an updated interior with rustic charm and contemporary touches. The minute you step foot on this property, you will be transported to a simpler time. Situated in the heart of an unmatchable countryside setting, this rustic cabin is just waiting for memories to be made. With soaring ceilings, reclaimed wood, and a large stone fireplace, this home is perfect for a countryside getaway with the family.

Hope For One More has been advocating for children in foster care for nearly a decade. Since their beginning, in 2010, the community has joined their effort to aid children taken into protective custody and separated from their families during times of family crisis.

Initially, Hope Children’s Home was established by Hope For One More to provide emergency short-term foster care with intense evaluations to aid in children places in families that best suited their needs. However, over time, many children needed longer term foster are, and there weren’t homes- or foster parents, ready to provide care for these children. So, with a the help of the community, they reopened their doors in January 2019 and have cared for 21 children since.

On the main level of the home there is the House Parents Master Suite, a study lab and game room, family room, and a play room. There is a bathroom, as well, that is currently in need of a complete renovation that we hope to raise funds for and complete by fall 2019.

With the help of the community, Hope For One More will continue to grow and provide children with a home, stability, and love. Providing Hope For One More child, one more Home, one more Family.
